Major General Constance L. Jenkins, from the United States Air Force paid a courtesy call on the Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King on Wednesday November 16, 2022, at Defence Headquarters, John F. Kennedy Drive.During the meeting, matters of mutual interest were discussed followed by an exchange of pleasantries. After which Major General Jenkins visited the Royal Bahamas Defence Force Base, where she met with Captain Coral Harbour, Captain Glenn McPhee for a brief handover ceremony of portable armories, communication equipment and safe boat maintenance parts donated by the United States government.Highly decorated, Major General Jenkins serves as Director of Logistics and Engineering, J4 Headquarters, North American Aerospace Defense Command and United States Northern Command at Peterson Pace Force Base, Colorado. She was accompanied by Ms. Usha Pitts, Chargé d’Affaires at the US Embassy in The Bahamas, and U.S. Embassy Senior Defence Official, Captain Greg Gellman, and representatives from the US Embassy, Nassau.This recent donation of equipment supports the Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King’s National Maritime Security Strategy and will enhance the logistical and technical capabilities of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force in its efforts to decentralize and increase presence throughout the archipelago.(RBDF photos by Marine Seaman Tenaj Wallace and Marine Seaman Rickey Sealy)
