40 Apprehended
Royal Bahamas Defence Force Marines aboard the patrol craft, HMBS P48, in collaboration with members of the Defence Force’s satellite base in Abaco apprehended approximately 40 Haitian nationals on board an American registered sailing vessel off Snake Cay just south of Marsh Harbour early this morning.
The satellite base team along with Immigration authority also apprehended a male occupant of a van that was parked on Snake Cay. All apprehended persons are being handed over to Immigration authority in Abaco for processing.
The incident took place before 1 a.m. this morning. and was the result of a joint operation between Immigration officials and the Defence Force personnel stationed in Abaco. [RBDF File Photo]
