The Royal Bahamas Defence Force said a sad farewell to Chief Petty Officer (Retired) Roosevelt Antonio Thompson Snr. on Friday February 10 with a home-going service at the New Covenant Baptist Church, East West Highway. Attended by the Minister of National Security and sports officials, Thompson was hailed as a pioneer trailblazer within the Defence Force, the sporting community and his local church. He was laid to rest at the Woodlawn Gardens cemetery, Soldier Road.
