The Royal Bahamas Defence Force held its annual Thanksgiving Service and Career Transition Luncheon on Thursday, November 24, 2022, onboard HMBS Coral Harbor Base under the theme “In All Things Give Thanks”.The service highlighted the hard work and diligence of Officers and Marines who previously served the organization and gave active service members a time to reflect on progress made and great successes achieved during the year.In Commodore Raymond King’s address, he expressed his gratitude for the devoted and talented men and women of the organization who continue to go above and beyond the call of duty. He also made note that the support he received helped him steer the organization towards becoming a well rounded and efficient force, built on the pillars of diversity and equality. He described the honorees as a true reflection of unmatched service and that their legacy will leave an everlasting imprint on the organization.The retirees being honored at the ceremony were Captain Philip Clarke, Commander Cheryl Bethel, Force Chief Petty Officer Pedro Bain, Chief Petty Officer Edmund Butler, Chief Petty Officer Leander Albury and Chief Petty Officer Sean Ferguson who received plaques in commemoration for their tenure and impact on the organization.The Royal Bahamas Defence Force is grateful for the dedication of Officers and Marines who continue to serve their country unselfishly.(
