On June 12, Commander Defence Force Commodore Raymond E. King, accompanied by Acting Force Chief Petty Officer John Ingraham, participated in a breakfast celebration at The Garden of Eden Restaurant.
This event, organized by Mr. Ephraim Jones, host of Morning Grace on 107.9FM, aimed to foster discussion on the pivotal roles of manhood and fatherhood in restoring family values and rebuilding our social and national fabric.
The gathering featured an exchange of dialogue and constructive ideas among many distinguished and notable men. Mr. Jones acknowledged Commodore King’s leadership over the many men responsible for our national security, expressing his deep gratitude for their service.
This breakfast talk was both a celebration of manhood and an homage to fathers. It highlighted the importance of fatherhood as a cornerstone of family and society. The event sets the stage for Father’s Day, which will be observed on Sunday, June 16th.
The Royal Bahamas Defence Force’s participation in the breakfast celebration and discussion amongst prominent male leaders throughout society underscores the force’s commitment to community leadership as a major campaign in demonstrating corporate responsibility.
