Chief Petty Officer Quentin Burrows is a 28-year veteran in the Royal Bahamas Defence Force, who has been a model Marine. Currently, he contributes to the Force through his engagement in the Training Department, mentoring newly enlisted recruits and reminding those who go through other courses of their responsibility and tasks to country. A father of two children, 14-year-old Tre Burrows and 21-year-old Quinique Burrows who is currently a…way in College, Chief Burrows delights in being a father. He admits that the line of fatherhood and Marine life can become blurry at times, but he prides himself of knowing when to draw the line. He asserts that as a father, the main things he “focuses on are discipline, respect, being a mentor to my children.” Chief finds it hard to be away from his family when he is deployed because he treasures his time with his wife and children. He credits much of his family success to his support team and finishes his interview by remarking, “I’m happy and blessed to have an awesome military wife who understands the day to day and unique challenges we face. We all understand that GOD will keep us together as a family.”
