Representatives from the Bahamas Department of Marine Resources paid a courtesy call on the Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King on March 12th, 2021 at Defence Headquarters, John F. Kennedy Drive.

The meeting was productive as it reinforces the Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King’s strategic intent of strengthening stakeholder relationships at national, regional and international levels.

Led by the Director of Marine Resources (Acting), Mr. Gregory Bethel, the team met with Commodore King to discuss the new Fisheries Act 2020, as well as, to discuss matters of mutual interest and concern related to fisheries management and enforcement within the Commonwealth.

Also, in attendance were the RBDF’s Commander Operations, Senior Commander Chapell Whyms, and Squadron Commanding Officer, Commander Milton Munroe.

The Royal Bahamas Defence Force maintains a favourable relationship with the corporate agency and the community-at-large, as it continues to protect the territorial waters of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas along with the natural resources.
