The Military Police and Force Protection (MPFP), Military Aid to Civil Authority (MACA), and Mechanical Engineering Departments of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) hosted the Marine of the Quarter (MOQ) Awards Presentation at HMBS Coral Harbour on Wednesday, November 6, 2024.
The ceremony recognized marines from each of their departments for their outstanding performance during the third and fourth quarters of the year.
For the Third Quarter of 2024, Military Police & Force Protection recognized Leading Seaman Jem Roberts as the Marine of the Quarter and from the Military Aid to Civil Authority Department, Able Mechanic Colton Smith was awarded.
Meanwhile, for the Fourth Quarter, Woman Marine Shadiamon Demeritte of MPFP was recognized as the Marine of the Quarter and Leading Seaman Rudy Linden was recognized as the same for MACA.
Additionally, for his exceptional dedication and service, Able Mechanic Anejo Higgs was recognized as the Engineering Department’s Marine of the Quarter for the Fourth Quarter.
Captain Coral Harbour, Captain Glenn McPhee and Master-at-Arms, Force Chief Petty Officer Raymond Sands presented the awards, alongside the heads of each department.
This event highlights the RBDF’s ongoing commitment to fostering a high performance, professional workforce. The focus on performance excellence and succession planning for service members remains a priority for Commodore Raymond King, Commander Defence Force.
The RBDF extends its congratulations to all honorees for their hard work and dedication to upholding the values and mission of the Defence Force.
