On Friday December 2 2022 Commander Defence Force Commodore Raymond E. King & Mrs. King attended the Disability Awareness and Association 6th Annual Dinner and Show Fundraiser held at the National Art Gallery.During his keynote address Commodore King he made it clear that the Royal Bahamas Defence Force believes in helping everyone even those with disabilities. Therefore, in addition to being guardians of our heritage; the Royal Bahamas Defence Force will also continue its efforts as corporate citizens via its community relations program, as well as nation builders via its youth development program. He ended on a strong note saying that he, his wife and the entire organization is proud to be a part of this revolutionary change.Throughout the course of his leadership Commodore King has had a firm stance and compassion for persons living with disabilities, shifting gears towards the inclusion of all creating a robust and equality driven environment. Some of the events that the Royal Bahamas Defence Force has assisted and partnered with the disability community dated from 2018 to the present have been 3 and 5 mile off road hikes, organizational support through our phenomenal RBDF Pop Band during the Disability Affairs Week of activities annually, and as patron of the Bahamas Coalition of Advocating for Disability Awareness and Services Camp Inclusion just to name a few. The Royal Bahamas Defence Force not only remains committed but inspired to help those living with disabilities in such a major way and look forward to continuing to build an environment of inclusion for all.
