Staff from the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture and Bahamian Hall of Fame Honoree members paid a Courtesy Call on Captain Coral Harbour, Captain Glenn McPhee on November 15, 2022, at HMBS Coral Harbour Base.Amongst the honorees present were Bahamian track and field gold medalist Pauline Davis, former star softball athletes Sidney Fernander and Everette B. L. Johnson, and former pro boxer Stephen Larrimore. The group was treated to a guided tour of the base where they visited the HMBS Flamingo Memorial, RBDF Medical Facility, Operations Command Center, and Engineering Workshop. Finalizing the tour was a visit aboard HMBS Nassau where the group was greeted by Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Commander Jataro McDonald and given a tour of the bridge by Sub Lieutenant Lashonna Williams. The overall tour of the base gave a brief overview of the operational responsibilities of the force and how these areas aid in maintaining the mandate of the organization.Also in attendance was Force Inspectorate Officer, Commander Natasha Miller, Base Executive Officer, Commander Origin Deleveaux, Deputy Director of Sports, Mrs. Oria Wood Knowles and Sports Officers, Adam Miller, Shaunae Bowe and Clerk Lola Johnson.The Royal Bahamas Defence Force remains committed to maintaining its presence while forging relationships within the community.(RBDF photos by Marine Seaman Rickey Sealy)
