On Monday, November 11, 2024, HMBS Cascarilla hosted its Marine of the Quarter Ceremony aboard HMBS Coral Harbour. The ceremony recognized the hard work and dedication displayed by marines throughout the year.
Marine Seaman Carroll Burrows received the First Quarter award, Woman Marine Savanna Pelletier was honored for the Second Quarter, and Marine Mechanic Keano Tonny was recognized for the Third Quarter.
Acting Sub Lieutenant Wellington Ramsey praised these marines for their exemplary service and commitment to duty, emphasizing their critical role in safeguarding the nation. He encouraged them to continue their efforts, highlighting the importance of their work in protecting the borders of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas and ensuring national security. His remarks underscored resilience, teamwork, and pride as the marines carry forward their mission with unwavering dedication.
Captain Coral Harbour, Captain Glenn McPhee, and Master-at-Arms, Force Chief Petty Officer Raymond Sands, presented the awards alongside department heads. The event exemplifies the RBDF’s ongoing commitment to building a high performance, professional workforce. Under the leadership of Commodore Raymond King, Commander Defence Force, performance excellence and succession planning for service members remain top priorities.
