With technology seeing a major transformation in recent years, Huawei Technologies paid a courtesy call on Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King at Defence Headquarters on Thursday, October 19, 2023.
The recently held meeting accommodated discussions on the future of communications and technology and subjects of shared concern.
Representing Huawei Technologies were Mr. Neil Grant, CEO of the Carrier Network Business Group, Mr. Jesus Castellano, the Huawei Country Manager for The Bahamas, and Mr. Alex Liu, the Huawei Account Manager and Public Relationship Manager.
Defence Force representatives included Deputy Commander Defence Force, Captain Shonedel Pinder, Executive Staff Officer, Captain Henry Daxon, Strategy & Planning Officer, Captain Gregory Brown, and Command Warrant Officer, Ramone Storr.
The focal point of the meeting was to establish a foundational relationship between the Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) and Huawei Technologies, which could lead to future collaborations and technological advancements.
Under the leadership of Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond E. King, the RBDF is dedicated to exploring advanced technology and fostering innovation to better carry out its mandate.
