Thirteen members of the Jamaican Defence Force Pop Band, led by Warrant Officer Class 1 Paul Johnson, paid a courtesy visit to Commander Defence Force Commodore Raymond King at Defence Headquarters, John F. Kennedy Drive, on Thursday, October 10, 2024.

This visit coincided with their participation in the upcoming Law Enforcement Pop Bands Concert, under the theme, “United in Love”. This event will be a spectacular gathering, showcasing local bands including the Royal Bahamas Defence Force, Royal Bahamas Police Force, and Bahamas Department of Correctional Services Pop Bands. The event also welcomes guest performances including the Jamaican Defence Force Pop Band, the Trinidad & Tobago All Women Pop Band and the Department of Immigration Pop Band.

This night of musical performances is set to take place at the Old Carnival Grounds, and will be a great display to celebrate unity and cultural diversity.

Under the leadership of Commodore Raymond E. King, the Royal Bahamas Defence Force exemplifies its commitment to fostering regional partnerships through a range of collaborative initiatives. These efforts also aim to strengthen relationships within local communities and across the Caribbean, promoting shared goals and mutual support.
