Defence Headquarters, 21 April. ‘23 (RBDF): In keeping with the organization’s strategic objective of professionalism in the workplace via deliberate institutional capacity building and interagency cooperation, members of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force, the Royal Bahamas Police Force, and US Army Special Forces recently held a soft opening ceremony for the Joint Combined Exercise Training (JCET) on April 19, 2023, at HMBS CORAL HARBOUR.

Participants of the six-week training exercise consist of forty (40) Law Enforcement representatives who will undergo training designed to enhance future joint mission success, and to ensure that Marines trained in various aspects of infantry and tactics are embedded in the wider service to enable them to respond when and if required.

Amongst the attendees were Captain Coral Harbour, Captain Glenn McPhee, Chief Superintendent James Miller of the Royal Bahamas Police Force and Captain James Stone of the US Special Forces.

This training partnership is in keeping with the Commander Defence Force’s Maritime Security Plan, which focuses on decentralization and enhancing responsiveness to the security environment nationally and regionally.
