The Minister of National Security, the Honorable Wayne Munroe, K.C. attended the opening of the Law Enforcement Chaplaincy Training where he declared the seminar officially open on September 26, 2022, at the Living Waters Ministry Church, located on Warren Street, Oakes Field.The event which was designed and hosted by the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team, welcomed Chaplains from each of the Bahamas’ uniformed branches of government as well as international guest speakers. The purpose of the 4-day seminar is to equip Chaplains, officers and members of uniformed branches to be better able to meet the critical need for the emotional and spiritual care of their respective members, as well addressing the common challenges faced by persons working in law enforcement.During the opening, the Hon. Wayne Munroe offered remarks and expressed his thanks and approval for the forum. He also encouraged the participants to use the opportunity to receive all the knowledge they were being offered.Also speaking briefly, was Commodore King who expressed his appreciation for the work being carried out by the organizers of the event. He also gave insight into his vision for the Defence Force to prioritize the spiritual needs of RBDF Officers and Marines.Also, in attendance were the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of National Security, Mrs. Cheryl Darville, the RBDF Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King, the RBDF Executive Team, chaplains from the various law enforcement agencies and other religious representatives from across the country.The Royal Bahamas Defence Force remains intentional in providing holistic training and development for its members.(RBDF Photos by: Able Seaman Michael Turner II)
