Able Seaman Andrew Curtis received the Marine of the quarter award for July- September 2021, and Able Seaman Randolph Burrows received the Marine of the quarter award for October- December 2021. The Marines were presented with plaques from the MACA Unit as well as certificates of appreciation, and a letter of commendations from the Commanding Officer of MACA, Lieutenant Commander Andrew Bowe. Also in attendance to make the presentations was the then Executive Officer of MACA Unit, Senior Lieutenant Elizabeth Simms. The two marines were recognized for their continued commitment, contribution, and dedication to service in the MACA Unit in providing security detail at the South Beach Clinic grounds during the COVID-19 pandemic. As the Royal Bahamas Defence Force continues to encompass duties that call for a career of sacrifice, the organization says ‘Bravo Zulu’ to the Marines who continue to guard the territorial integrity of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas.
