In keeping with Commander Defence Force, Commodore, Dr. Raymond King’s strategic plans to strengthen community relations with stakeholders and the larger community, the Royal Bahamas Defence Force welcomed twenty-six students who are part of the Ministry of the Public Service Summer Employment Programme. The students ranged from grade nine through twelve and to recent graduates. The idea is to expose the students to the potential workforce while they gain the opportunity to see the potential trades and professions available in the Public Sector. This initiative is geared towards the students gaining valuable work experience and is intended to continue for four weeks. The students were placed in various departments across the Defence Force such as Engineering, Logistics, Public Relations, Information Technology and Base Maintenance Civil Construction Unit.
