TO ELIZABETH ESTATES CHILDREN’S HOME
Defence Headquarters, 09 DEC. ‘23 (RBDF): The Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) Administration Department reaffirms its commitment to community care with a heartfelt donation to the Elizabeth Estates Children’s Home on December 08, 2023.
In a small yet impactful presentation, Deputy Administrator of the Home, Mrs. Beryl Gray, gratefully accepted a generous contribution of grocery and cleaning items on behalf of Mr. Ray Nairn, the administrator, staff, and the 31 children residing at the home.
Established in 1992, the Elizabeth Estates Children’s Home serves as a safe haven for children facing unfortunate circumstances. Mrs. Gray expressed sincere gratitude for the continuous support from RBDF, highlighting their consistent and generous assistance provided throughout 2023 and previous years.
Base First Lieutenant, Senior Lieutenant Elizabeth Simms, briefly spoke on the RBDF’s duty to our country, not being limited to out on our nation’s borders, but also within the community.
Base Executive Officer and Commanding Officer of the Administration Department, Commander Origin Deleveaux also spoke and underscored the invaluable work of the Home’s staff, acknowledging their often-overlooked contributions to the community. He expressed thanks on behalf of the RBDF, emphasizing the force’s ongoing commitment to building and strengthening community relations in alignment with the strategic objectives of Commander Defence Force, Commander Raymond King.
