As the RBDF continues to partner with the U.S. Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) J6 and the Rhode Island Air National Guard (RIANG), the US Embassy in conjunction with RBDF Communications Branch, conducted a Radio Communications Subject-Matter Expert Exchange (SMEE) on 28 – 30 March 2023 at HMBS CORAL HARBOUR. During the three-day engagement, the team bilaterally developed installation plans and schedules for recently received L3Harris and Motorola equipment donations. Additionally, they refined Operational View 2 and System View 6 for respective resource flow and data exchanges; began work on a C4 regional/nodal diagram; reviewed Communications Branch force structure and strategy and continued advancement of the communications concept of operations (CONOP) and handbook.It is the intent of Commander Defence Force Commodore Raymond King to maintain maritime domain awareness through strengthening operational communications capabilities with local and regional partners in regard to potential threats.
