The Royal Bahamas Defence Force Engineering Department celebrated its marines during an awards ceremony at HMBS Coral Harbour on 23 September 2025. The event recognized both top quarterly performance and long years of faithful service to the branch.
Able Mechanic Adam Bastian was named Marine of the 3rd Quarter 2025 for his discipline, technical skills, and willingness to do extra work supporting engineering operations. His award shows the department’s commitment to recognizing excellence among its junior enlisted personnel.
Several Warrant Officers and Senior Rates were also honored for their long service and dedication to the Engineering Branch:
Force Chief Petty Officer Marcello Charlow was recognized for over thirty years of hard work, leadership, and faithful service.
Force Chief Petty Officer Arthur McDonald was honored for more than thirty years of dedication and excellence within the Engineering Department.
Force Chief Petty Officer Dwayne Rolle was recognized for his distinguished service and commitment to engineering excellence spanning over thirty years.
Acting Force Chief Petty Officer Catherine Burrows was honored for her time, effort, and valuable contributions to the Engineering Branch.
Chief Petty Officer Reynaldo Farquharson was celebrated for more than twenty years of exceptional service and devotion to the department.
Petty Officer Toriano Bastian was recognized for over twenty years of hard work and loyalty to the Engineering Branch.
The ceremony reminded everyone of the RBDF’s ongoing commitment to building a culture of excellence and honoring those who show professionalism, technical skill, and devotion to service.
The RBDF, under the leadership of Commodore Floyd Moxey, is optimizing excellence by bridging generations and embracing modernization. As such, we remain committed to acknowledging the achievements of all Officers and Marines.
