DEFENCE HEADQUARTERS: 25 April. ‘23 (RBDF): The Royal Bahamas Defence Force extends sincerest condolences to the family of the late Retired Petty Officer Anthony Strachan, who passed away on Saturday April 22, 2023.

Petty Officer Strachan enlisted in the Royal Bahamas Defence Force as a member of New Entry 10 on August 10, 1981. Upon completion of his training, he was assigned to the Administration Department where he served until 1982. His fellow comrades described him as a dedicated, pleasant and hardworking Marine.

As a seaman, he served on Her Majesty’s Bahamian Ships EXUMA, SAMANA, FENDRICK STURRUP AND NASSAU. During his tenure, he also served in the Training Department, Supply Department, Harbour Patrol Unit and Port Security Department. He later joined the Transport Department where he remained until his retirement.

The Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King extends sincerest condolences to family members and loved ones of the late Retired Petty Officer Anthony Strachan on behalf of himself, members of his Executive Command Team, Officers, Warrant Officers, Senior Rates and Junior Rates of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force.
