The Family Readiness and Support Office(FRSO) of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force, led by Acting Force Chief Petty Officer Rory Adams, accompanied by Mrs. Fredricka King (Retired Force Chief Petty Officer), and the children of active serving RBDF members, paid a courtesy call on Her Excellency The Most Honourable. Dame Cynthia Pratt at Government House, Mount Fitzwilliam on March 13, 2025.

During the visit, sixteen children, accompanied by their parents, had the opportunity to sit and engage in meaningful conversation with the Governor General of The Bahamas. Her Excellency delivered an inspiring and uplifting message to the youth, motivating them to pursue excellence, uphold leadership values, and recognize the significance of serving their country.

Her Excellency also conveyed her commitment toward the well- being of the men and women serving our nation, expressing heartfelt recognition toward the Family Rediness Support Office for their collective efforts in providing resources and support to families of personnel.

A particularly touching moment unfolded as Her Excellency led the children in a heartfelt rendition of I Am a Promise. This sincere gesture conveyed genuine care and encouragement for their dreams, leaving a lasting impression of joy while reinforcing their sense of self-worth and potential. It also underscored her deep appreciation for the mission of the FRSO, which is dedicated to fostering hope and nurturing future generations.

To mark the occasion, Acting Force Chief Antoine Adams and Retired Force Chief Fredricka King presented gifts to Her Excellency. The courtesy call was a resounding success, serving as a powerful testament to the enduring bond between the Family Readiness and Support Office and the families they serve.

Under the leadership of Commodore Raymond E. King, the Royal Bahamas Defence Force remains committed to prioritizing the welfare of deployed troops by fostering strong connections with their families, addressing their concerns, and ensuring their involvement in service-related matters.
