Former marine, Mr. Kasimu Ellis paid a courtesy visit to the Commander Defence Force, Commodore Floyd Moxey, on board HMBS Coral Harbour on Friday, 22 May 2026, to donate six (6) water coolers to the Royal Bahamas Defence Force, for the SOUTHERN COMMAND, the Medical Facility, Commando Squadron and the Administration Departments. The donation is an effort to enhance the day-to-day operations and welfare of personnel serving throughout the archipelago. It also reflects Mr. Ellis’ desire to give back to the organization that made a significant impact on his professional and personal development.
This gesture of goodwill highlights the enduring bond between the Royal Bahamas Defence Force and its veterans, exemplifying the spirit of service, loyalty, and appreciation that continues beyond an active duty career.
Former marine, Mr. Kasimu Ellis served with distinction for eight (
years, having enlisted as a member of New Entry Thirty, on 10 April 1995 and contributed significantly to the growth and success of the Force, specifically the Military Operations Platoon (MOP). He is a certified Military Diver and a Rappel Master. In reflecting on his service, he expressed gratitude for the opportunities, achievements, and personal development gained throughout his distinguished career.
