In keeping with the Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King’s priority of personnel readiness via deliberate focus on physical fitness and wellness, scores of participants joined the Royal Bahamas Defence Force Officers and Marines to kick off its recent Fun, Run and Walk under the theme “Breaking Barriers Through Fitness” which was held on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Goodman’s Bay Park. Participants had the opportunity to register for either a six (6) mile run or there (3) mile walk which both ended at the Goodman’s Bay Park where there was freshly prepared breakfast, fruit, and beverages to greet them. The event which was hosted by the Royal Bahamas Defence Force Training Department entertained the crowd with two (2) fitness drill displays by Defence Force Recruits. This was followed by an aerobics and cool down session for participants which was conducted by Defence Force Personal Training Instructors (PTI’s). The Royal Bahamas Defence Force remains committed to promoting health and fitness throughout the community and wishes to thank the numerous sponsors and law enforcement agencies such as the Royal Bahamas Police Force, Bahamas Immigration, and Bahamas Department of Corrections who partnered with us to make the event a success.
