The Royal Bahamas Defence Force hosted its highly anticipated Family Fun Day and Steak Out 2026 on Saturday, 02 May 2026, onboard HMBS Coral Harbour, bringing together Officers, Marines, families, and the community for a time of fellowship, fun, food, entertainment, and unity.
The vibrant atmosphere provided food stations, music, and a variety of activities designed to engage attendees of all ages. Families and guests were treated to an array of entertainment, including interactive games and opportunities to connect with members of the RBDF in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
A key highlight of the day was a series of performances and demonstrations showcasing the professionalism and versatility of RBDF personnel. The RBDF Marching Band delivered an impressive musical performance, followed by a precision drill display that demonstrated discipline and coordination. The Commando Squadron personnel captivated the audience with a thrilling tactical display, offering insight into the operational capabilities and readiness.
As the evening progressed, the RBDF Dance Band energized the crowd with live musical entertainment, leading into the traditional Sunset Colours Ceremony: a moment of pride and reflection that underscored the customs and traditions of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force. The festivities continued into the night with live performances from local artists, enhancing the celebratory spirit of the occasion.
The Family Fun Day and Steak Out served not only as a recreational event but also as an important opportunity to reinforce camaraderie and foster closer ties with families and the community.
