As part of Commander Defence Force’s strategic objective to strengthen relationships with stakeholders and the larger community, Medics from the Royal Bahamas Defence Force Medical Facility participated in their first quarterly community service event on Friday March 17, 2023, at the Demetrius Home and Care Centre in the Fox Hill community.​Led by Chief Petty Officers Joseph Pugh and Kimberley Bain, the medical technicians conducted blood pressure checks, prepared and served meals. They also interacted with the residents by playing board games of Dominos, Backgammon and Bingo.​Ms. Lillian Adderley and Ms. Christiana Swain, Caretakers for the home were presented with a Sphygmomanometer (blood pressure monitor) and First Aid Kit to assist the staff in properly monitoring the health of its members.
