Nineteen (19) members of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) were recognized for their efforts by the Pathfinder’s program during a graduation ceremony held for participants of the program on Saturday past at the Ephesus Seventh Day Adventist Church, Parkgate Road.The Royal Bahamas Defence Force has played a monumental role in this amazing initiative providing years of support with hikes, providing security and safety for camping regiments and drill assistance. Director of the program, Floyd Carter, praised the participants for their courage and bravery to follow God’s work and take up the mantle that many are unwilling. He also acknowledged the efforts of local partners despite delays faced by the onset of the Covid 19 pandemic. Also in attendance was Master Guide Evelyn Franklyn, and Pastor Manasseh Simms. The awardees included Force Chief Petty Officers Remone Storr and Fredrick Clarke; Chief Petty Officers Wellington Davis and Osworth Smith; Petty Officers Nivado Ferguson and Verron Charlton; Leading Seaman Gary Adderley and Rashad Brice; Able Seaman Kahlil Eneas, Shanador Gray, Troy Seymour, Remar Lewis and Able Woman Marine Alexis Strachan; Marine Seamen Eric Brown, Tevin McPhee, Roosevelt Cayard, Lesean Farquarson, Kevin Wilson and Woman Marine Charlisa Carey. It is the vision of Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King to develop a force that is supportive of communities and dedicated to youth empowerment.
