The Northern Command of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) hosted its Annual Thanksgiving Service and Luncheon on Friday, November 29, 2024, at the New Life Worship Center on Coral Road and Park Royal Avenue. Held under the theme “In All Things Give Thanks,” the event was led by Force Chaplain Raymond Wells and his team.

Force Chief Petty Officer John Ingraham delivered an uplifting sermon, emphasizing the importance of gratitude and unity within the organization and beyond. Senator Kirkland Russell, representing the government, also delivered remarks, underscoring the significance of giving thanks and fostering collaboration for the benefit of the nation.

The service brought together RBDF personnel, senior government officials, and community members in a meaningful demonstration of camaraderie and teamwork. Captain Gregory Brown, representing the Executive Command, attended alongside Heads of Departments and Senior Government Officials, showcasing the strong partnership between the Defence Force and the broader community.

Following the service, attendees enjoyed a festive Thanksgiving luncheon. Captain Gregory Brown, Chaplain Raymond Wells, Commander Vernessa Rolle, and the Northern Command leadership team actively participated in serving the meal. The luncheon provided an opportunity for attendees to connect, celebrate, and reflect on the spirit of the season.

Under the leadership of Commander Defence Force Commodore Raymond King, the Royal Bahamas Defence Force remains dedicated to fostering meaningful engagement among its members. Through a steadfast commitment to accountability, teamwork, and responsibility, the RBDF continues to strengthen unity within its ranks while advancing its mission to serve and protect.
