In commemoration of the country’s 50th Jubilee Independence and the 60th Anniversary of the Women’s Suffrage Movement, the Royal Bahamas Defence Force females participated in the Dame Doris Johnson’s Women Unity March and Concert on Sunday, March 26 2023.The military women joined scores of females from every sector across the nation to support this monumental event, signifying the strength and unity of women. The march commenced on Bay Street and proceeded onto Western Esplanade, where participants were treated to a live concert featuring female Bahamian performers.Coordinator of the event, Her Excellency Leslia Brice addressed the participants. She expressed her joy to see the many beautiful, hardworking, and decorated Bahamian women who came together in unity to celebrate the successes and milestones of women everywhere.
