In its ongoing efforts of enforcing the Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King’s strategic objective of strengthening relationships with stakeholders and the community at large as a socially corporate citizen, the Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) recently assisted the ‘Wildflowers’ organization with community relief initiatives.

On December 22, 2020, members of the RBDF were pleased to contribute to the Non-Government Agency through the provision of security assistance and the handing out of food supplies to residents assembled near the Department of Social Services, Nassau Street.

Led by Captain Shawn Adderley, RBDF Command Staff Officer for Strategy and Policy along with RBDF Marines, the team spearheaded by Mr. Kasimu Ellis, a former Defence Force Marine partnered with the ‘The Family Help and Support Foundation’. Defence Force personnel involved in the initiative also ensured that the laws and rules of emergency protocols were being carried out.

The Non Government Organization, led by Sally Van Tooren and their network of benefactors, contributed to the food supplies. The Wildflowers team was instrumental in executing the logistics in kind support.
