DEFENCE HEADQUARTERS, 7 MAY. ‘23 (RBDF): The Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King and the Officers and Marines of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force, paid final respects to the late retired Petty Officer Anthony Strachan, who was eulogized on Friday, May 5th, 2023, at Kemp Road Ministries. Officiating was the Rev. Dr. Ivan Butler Jr. assisted by Apostle Dr. Raymond Wells and other ministers of the gospel.
Words of condolences were expressed by invited guests and dignitaries which included the Minister of National Security, The Honorable Wayne Munroe K.C. who spoke to the great sacrifice Strachan made to offer a life of service to his country.
Semi-Military Honors were concluded at the Kemp Road Ministries with a brief tribute and flag folding ceremony. Interment will follow with a private ceremony where Petty Officer Strachan’s ashes will be spread at sea.
The Royal Bahamas Defence Force is thankful for the contributions of Petty Officer Strachan to the organization and extends deepest sympathies to the family and loved ones on behalf of the Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King, his Executive team, Officers and Marines.
