Approximately 80 Rangers cadets from the Royal Bahamas Defence Force Rangers are attending the 4th Annual Rangers Leadership Summer Camp at the R. M. Bailey Senior High School.
The 3-week leadership program is designed to develop character and leadership skills among the high school students currently enrolled in the Rangers program. This year’s curriculum will cover three modules. These include: Photo Journalism, Introduction to Foreign Languages, Band Camp and Bread and Pastry Baking.
During the first week, participants in the Bread and Pastry were introduced to baking several pastries including chocolate and coconut cream pies and banana bread. They also visited the Bahamas Agricultural & Industrial Corporation (BAIC) facility, located at Old Trail Industrial Park, Soldier Road where they were taught to make delights such as jam and pepper sauce.
The Leadership Camp is being conducted by the Royal Bahamas Defence Force Rangers Department, with auxiliary personnel from other departments including the Supply Department and the RBDF Band.
