Commander Defence Force, Floyd Moxey, recognized members of the Engineering & Technical Operations Department who were selected as Top Technical Marines of the Year 2025
The Top Technical Marines of the Year recognition initiative was established in 2024 by Commander Dominique Rigby, Base Engineering Officer. The initiative continues with the support of Commander Gordon Roberts, Branch Commander Engineering, and highlights personnel who consistently demonstrate dedication to duty and ensure vessels, equipment, and systems remain operational both ashore and at sea. Marines from several Engineering sections including, Hull, Fleet Maintenance, Mechanical, Electrical, Air Conditioning, Transportation, ATON, Outboard, and Technical Procurement were acknowledged for their outstanding service and dependability.

Commander Dominique Rigby, emphasized that these marines represent a standard of excellence within the Engineering & Technical Operations Department. They represent the collective effort of the many technicians, mechanics and engineers who maintain the RBDF’s Fleet, equipment, and shore systems.
Commander Defence Force Commodore Floyd Moxey, commended the awardees and offered words of encouragement, reflecting on his early years serving within the engineering field. He emphasized the critical role engineers play in ensuring operational readiness and mission success across the Fleet.
