A stolen vessel was safely returned to its owner after being found by members of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force this afternoon. After receiving information from local Police of 31-ft red hull boat being stolen in Hopetown, Abaco around 8:00 am Sunday morning, the RBDF’s Northern Command with the local Police immediately began their search.
The patrol craft P-125 coxswained by Petty Officer Brian Anderson discovered the stolen vessel among the marshes in Central Abaco. The owner was contacted, and retrieved the vessel, which had minor damage. The Royal Bahamas Defence Force takes pride in safe-guarding the sovereignty and heritage of the country.
