The Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) congratulates its members who participated in the Pre-Retirement Seminar organized by the Ministry of Labour and the Public Service Centre for Human Resources Development Unit (PSCHRD). The comprehensive program, designed to equip public servants with essential tools and strategies for life after service, culminated in a graduation ceremony on Friday, December 6, 2024.
Spanning five days from Monday, December 2, to Friday, December 6, the seminar offered daily sessions to include critical topics such as financial planning, personal development, health and wellness, and strategies for a smooth transition into retirement. It was also tailored to address the unique challenges and opportunities faced by public servants entering this new phase of life.
Representing the RBDF were Force Chief Petty Officers Theodore Thompson and Perez Rolle, Acting Force Chief Petty Officer Catherine Burrows, and Chief Petty Officer Everette Rolle. These distinguished marines demonstrated their commitment to personal and professional growth by actively engaging in sessions designed to empower them for the future.
The participation of these RBDF members underscores the Defence Force’s commitment to holistic development, both during and beyond active service. Initiatives like this align with the RBDF’s mission to honor the contributions of its personnel while fostering a culture of preparedness and resilience for life after service.
As these participants embrace the next chapter of their journey, the RBDF applauds their dedication to planning a fulfilling retirement. Their efforts reflect the legacy of excellence and foresight that defines the organization.
