Ten (10) Marines from the Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF), representing various Marine divisions, recently concluded a two-week subject-matter exchange from October 11th to 24th, aimed at enhancing their skills in RHIB (Rigid-Hulled Inflatable Boat) repair at Coral Harbour Base.
This 2-week exchange program, designed to address common challenges in operating smaller safety and RHIB boats, included marines with specializations in Fleet Maintenance, Engineering, and Crisis & Disaster Management. The expertise for this exchange was generously shared by Bren Foley and Joshua Fillingham, both affiliated with Marine Specialized Technology (MST), a sub-contracted company within the DAMEN Shipyards Group.
This experience not only augmented the participants’ knowledge but also reinforced their preparedness to confront critical challenges in the field, guaranteeing the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency for these essential watercraft.
