The Royal Bahamas Defence Force expresses condolences to the family of former Minister of National Security The Honourable Dr. Bernard J. Nottage

The Royal Bahamas Defence Force mourns the passing of the former Minister of National Security, the Honourable Dr. Bernard J. Nottage who passed away on June 28th due to illness.

Dr. Nottage, a juggernaut in the political arena served as Minister of National Security with responsibility for the Royal Bahamas Defence Force from 2012 to 2017. He represented the Bahamas Government and supported the many activities of the men and women of the Defence Force. His last official duty with the Force, was his attendance at the Commissioning Ceremony of a Sandy Bottom Milestone at HMBS Coral Harbour on April 20, 2017.

On behalf of the Commander Defence Force, Senior Officers, Warrant Officers, Non-Commissioned Officers, and Marines of the Defence Force, we extend our sincerest condolences to his wife, Mrs. Portia Nottage, their children, family members, and friends.
