In a video circulating on Facebook by Cay Mills, it is alleged that building supplies were taken onboard Her Majesty’s Bahamian Ship Lawrence Major as part of the extraction exercise from Marsh Harbour, Abaco. However, the building supplies depicted were under the care of National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and were directed by the Administrator to an alternative location in Abaco for safekeeping in a separate exercise. The Royal Bahamas Defence Force wishes to advise the public that the mission and mandate of disaster relief assistance has and will continue to be carried out by members of the Force.
