Acting President Ricardo Miller, along with the Warrant Officers and Senior Rates (WOSR) of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force held its Annual Cake Cutting ceremony on Friday, March 31st at HMBS CORAL HARBOUR.The traditional ceremony was held in collaboration of the organization’s 43rd Anniversary, a momentous milestone by a young military force. Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King thanked the WOSR for their continuous dedication to honoring the anniversary of the organization. While outlying his strategic objectives which seek to modify and further transform the Defence Force, he spoke briefly of the ongoing procurement process currently in motion for additional equipment, infrastructural upgrades and professional training to carry out missions successfully.In upholding the Military custom, the oldest and youngest present serving Senior Enlisted were chosen for the traditional cutting of the cake, which included Force Chief Petty Officer Geoffrey Miller and Petty Officer Omanique Seymour. Also in attendance were Captain Coral Harbor, Captain Glenn McPhee, Commander Operations, Captain Chapell Whyms, Aide de Camp, Lieutenant Commander Samantha Hart and Mrs. Fredricka King.Commodore King’s strategic intent is the continual development of the men and women of the organization, as it remains committed to guarding the Heritage of The Bahamas.(By: Petty Officer Tancia Russell)(RBDF Photos By: Marine Seaman Calvin Brown Jr.)
