In keeping with the Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King’s priority of wholesome lifestyles amongst service members, an Impacting Lives Seminar hosted by RBDF Chaplain, Dr. Raymond Wells and the Welfare Office, was held yesterday at HMBS Coral Harbour Training Auditorium under the theme “Impacting Lives Through Love and Commitment to Service”. Presenters for the event included Dr. Raymond Wells, Dr. Eric Fox, Force Chief Petty Officer John Ingraham, Toriano Lloyd, Bryant Bonimy and representatives of Family Guardian Life Insurance. Chief Petty Officer Eunice Rolle moderated the event and Captain Coral Harbour, Captain Glenn McPhee brought opening remarks. Officers, Warrant Officers, Senior Rates and Marines from various departments were selected to attend the one-day seminar which spoke to an array of topics inclusive of Anger Management, Substance Abuse, Emotional Intelligence, Life Insurance, Money Management and the Power of Your Impact. It is anticipated that this seminar will impact the lives of those in attendance to be change agents in their environments by setting higher standards of excellence in their workplaces, homes, and wider communities. The intention of Commander Defence Force is to develop a workforce focused on performance excellence, built on the commitment that provides members with the opportunity for personal development. This is one of many initiatives by the Welfare Office to ensure that the holistic wellbeing of service members is being addressed to enable them to carry out their missions effectively.
