The Welfare Section of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force made a presentation to the Royal Bahamas Defence Force Command at Defence Headquarters on November 24, 2021.As a part of Commodore Dr. Raymond King’s intent to prioritize the welfare needs and morale of individuals employed within the Defence Force, a (fifty-five) 55” smart television was presented to the Command for the individuals stationed at Her Majesty’s Bahamian Ship (HMBS) Gunn Point in Ragged Island. This small donation is a part of an ongoing effort to boost morale and seek ways to make extended stays from home more comfortable for Marines deployed for months away from their families.The Welfare Section, under the command of Senior Lieutenant Elvis Bullard, is responsible for the needs and morale of the organization’s personnel, as this is an important part of their ability to carry out their duties effectively.Chief Petty Officer John Ingraham and Petty Officer Eunice Rolle, who are also a part of the Welfare Section continue to play a pivotal role in sourcing solutions to issues of welfare and morale voiced by Marines within the Defence Force. Receiving the donation was Deputy Commander Defence Force, Captain Shonedel Pinder. Also present receiving the television was Chief Terrance Arnett, who is currently stationed at HMBS Gunn Point. The Royal Bahamas Defence Force remains committed to welfare and morale while “Guarding Our Heritage”.
