The crew of HMBS Durward Knowles, under the command of Lieutenant Commander Livingston Brown, was inspected by Captain Coral Harbour, Captain Glenn McPhee, during a formal shipboard evaluation on Tuesday, January 21, 2025.

Captain McPhee conducted a detailed inspection of the crew, which consisted of approximately 20 dedicated men and women. They were inspected on their uniformity, bearing, and operational readiness. Upon completion, Captain McPhee praised Lieutenant Commander Livingston Brown and his team for upholding the high standards and traditions of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF). He acknowledged their achievements as a commendable example for others in the fleet.

He also addressed the marines and commended them for their meticulous attention to detail and organization onboard, which reflects favorably the ship’s readiness and operational efficiency.

Following this inspection, it is intended that HMBS Duward Knowles will journey to the United States for dry-docking. This will involve a series of upgrades and improvements to enhance the ship’s capabilities, ensuring it remains at the forefront of operational readiness to safeguard national interests and contribute to maritime security.
