The Royal Bahamas Defence Force expresses its deepest condolences on behalf of Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King, along with the Executive Leadership, Officers, Warrant Officers, Senior Rates, Junior Rates, Reserves, and Veterans, on the passing of RBDF Veteran, Able Seaman Keith Moss.

Able Seaman Moss enlisted in the Defence Force on June 13, 1988, as a member of Entry 22 and served with distinction for 14 years before being honourably discharged on June 14, 2002. His service stands as a testament to his dedication, resilience, and unwavering commitment to duty. Throughout his career, he fulfilled numerous roles with professionalism and pride, making significant contributions both ashore and at sea.

During his tenure, he served in the RBDF Military Operations Platoon (M.O.P.) Department, playing a pivotal role in various missions, including the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission (1995-1996). His steadfast work ethic and versatility were evident in his efforts to safeguard the nation’s maritime security.

Beyond his military service, Able Seaman Moss was an avid sportsman. He was an outstanding member of the RBDF Floaters softball team and the RBDF Blasters volleyball team. His athletic talents also extended to the national stage, where he proudly represented The Bahamas as a member of the Bahamas National Volleyball Team.

The legacy of Veteran Able Seaman Moss remains woven into the rich history of the Defence Force. His contributions have touched the lives of many, and his dedication will always be remembered. To his beloved family, we extend our heartfelt sympathies.
