RBDF CORAL HARBOUR BASE.The Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) and the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services (BDOCS) strengthened their spiritual and professional ties during a morning of fellowship at Coral Harbour Base on Wednesday, 6 August 2025.
Captain Coral Harbour, Captain Sonia Miller and RBDF Chaplain Raymond Wells hosted the BDOCS Chaplaincy Department, led by Lead Chaplain Bishop William Thompson, Assistant Chaplain George Bodie, and support staff.
The visit began with a moving morning prayer during Morning Colours, the military’s traditional flag-raising ceremony, where the chaplains prayed for the protection, unity, and service of all national security officers.
Following the ceremony, the RBDF and BDOCS chaplaincy teams shared breakfast and discussed plans to collaborate with chaplaincy offices across all law enforcement agencies, aiming to strengthen inter-agency unity and expand the spiritual support network for those who serve.
During the discussions, Chaplain Wells emphasized that the partnership reflects a shared mission to uplift and unify all who wear the uniform, while Captain Miller noted the importance of faith and fellowship in building stronger bonds between agencies.
Through continued collaboration, the RBDF hopes efforts such as this will promote resilience, morale, and spiritual growth across the nation’s security and law enforcement forces.
