The CB Foundation hosted its first annual Christmas Giveaway at Grace Church on December 24, 2024. The festive event brought joy to the local community as the foundation distributed gifts, toys, clothing, and essential items to families in need. Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond E. King, attended the giveaway to show his support for the foundation and its noble mission.
The CB Foundation was established by Calvin Brown, who is also an enlisted marine in the Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF), demonstrating the commitment of RBDF personnel to serving both their nation and their communities. The event highlighted the foundation’s dedication to fostering unity and spreading holiday cheer, with heartfelt interactions between volunteers and attendees.
The event featured a variety of activities, including a musical experience from DJ Chilly and interactive games for children. Volunteers from the RBDF and the wider community worked together to ensure the success of the event, showcasing the power of teamwork and generosity.
Commodore King’s presence underscored the RBDF’s endorsement of community-oriented initiatives led by its members.
