Commodore Raymond King, Commander Defence Force, recently visited Nassau Cruise Port Limited on October 29, 2024, to view the new facility from which the Royal Bahamas Defence Force Harbour Patrol Unit will operate.

The RBDF Harbour Patrol Unit conducts regular water patrols whenever cruise vessels are docked in Nassau’s harbor, ensuring security and safety on the waters.

The establishment of this new land based facility adds a valuable component to the Unit’s operational capacity, allowing for faster and more coordinated responses to land based situations. This facility also aims to enhance service accessibility, enabling our Marines to provide immediate assistance to those in need.

Additionally, this facility strengthens collaborative efforts with the Royal Bahamas Police Force, who also operate at the Cruise Port, promoting efficient maritime and land-based responses to ensure the safety and well-being of all visitors and residents.

Under the leadership of Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King, the Royal Bahamas Defence Force remains dedicated to enhancing its capabilities in safeguarding the nation’s ports and waters.
