The Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) announces the successful completion of the Bridge Watchkeeping Certification by a group of Officers, Warrant Officers, and Senior Rates. This training equips personnel with essential maritime skills, including navigation, voyage planning, and vessel safety management.
This certification is an important part of the RBDF’s efforts to maintain operational readiness and enhance professional development across all ranks. For the first time, Warrant Officers and Senior Rates have joined officers in achieving this qualification, reflecting the RBDF’s ongoing commitment to providing professional growth opportunities for all personnel.
The recent graduates include Lieutenant John Delancey, Sub-Lieutenants Renaldo Wilkinson, Opal Farquharson, Blair Smith, Javano Edgecombe, Oniel Campbell, Elcheano Edgecombe, and Kenvardo Gibson. Fleet Chief Petty Officer Onassis Ferguson, Chief Petty Officers Doyle Johnson and Nevada Fernander were also a part of the training and completed the program.
Congratulations to the honorees for reaching this milestone and continuing to contribute to the RBDF’s maritime operations.
