OUTLINES STRATEGIC VISION FOR THE FUTURE.In a series of strategic meetings held across the ranks of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF), members from senior officers to junior enlisted marines and reserve personnel had the opportunity to engage directly with the Commander Defence Force. These sessions focused on strengthening internal communication and shaping the organization’s future direction, as Commodore Floyd Moxey shared his vision while actively listening to feedback from personnel at every level.
The meetings provided an opportunity for Commodore Moxey to outline key components of his strategic plan, which prioritizes both operational excellence and inclusive leadership. Central to his message was a strong emphasis on the vital role of the Squadron Department. He commended the exceptional work being carried out and called on all departments to support and complement this effort to preserve the operational strength and integrity of the RBDF.
Several new initiatives were also introduced as part of the RBDF’s ongoing modernization efforts. These include enhanced training and education opportunities within the Engineering Department, recognition of individuals who have made notable contributions to the Squadron Department, and the establishment of small boat stations throughout The Bahamas. These developments are expected to boost response capabilities and reinforce the RBDF’s commitment to national security and territorial integrity.
Commodore Moxey reiterated his commitment to listening to and addressing the concerns of officers and marines, highlighting that the voices of the ranks are integral to strengthening the RBDF from within. By fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and respect, he affirmed that the RBDF is poised to evolve into a more professional, prepared, and unified organization, ready to meet both current and future demands in service to the nation.
