Commander Defence Force, Commodore Floyd Moxey, paid a courtesy call to Commander Jeremy Reed of the Atlantic Undersea Test & Evaluation Center (AUTEC) to reinforce the Royal Bahamas Defence Force’s (RBDF) longstanding partnership with the U.S. Navy’s testing facility in Andros.
The visit focused on strengthening cooperation in joint operations, maritime security, emergency response, and transportation support. Commodore Moxey also discussed opportunities for enhancing storm shelter assistance and collaborative exercises to improve readiness in the event of natural disasters.
Island Administrator Audrey Charlton was also in attendance as part of the discussions, which centered on the RBDF’s support to the local community and coordination with AUTEC.
As a symbol of respect and shared commitment, Commodore Moxey and Commander Reed exchanged challenge coins, expressing optimism about the continued collaboration between the RBDF, AUTEC, and local authorities in ensuring the security and resilience of The Bahamas.
