In keeping with the Commander Defence Force’s strategic intent for continuous training and development, members of the RBDF Squadron Department successfully completed the Crisis Management Unit’s Safety Training Workshop at the HMBS Coral Harbour Base.Mr. Ettienne Farquharson, an expert in the field of safety in the Bahamas spearheaded the two day training workshop for the marines. The objectives of the workshop were to heighten the awareness of safety procedures within the workplace for all personnel and equip those in managerial and supervisory positions with the tools to further reinforce safety measures during daily operations.Captain Coral Harbour, Captain Glenn McPhee, Crisis Management Commanding Officer, Captain Granville Adderley and Mr. Ettienne Farquharson presented the participants with their certificates of completion, accompanied by Master at Arms, Force Chief Petty Officer Raymond Sands and Force Chief Petty Officer Kevin Seymour.The Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King, recognizing the importance of safety in the workplace, has fully supported the culture of safety within the organization by implementing policies to ensure that each department completes the Safety Training Workshop to lessen incidents that can result in casualties within the workplace.
